Anthem or V ?
The way society was portrayed in Anthem, I do not see modern times ever becoming like that. The government would have to do a major turn around to even get remotely close in controlling our lives the way the peoples were in Anthem. Yes, they could become more strict on certain rules but it would take ALOT to get as strict as what the council was in Anthem. I don't think that being referred to and known by a label and permitted to do certain things by that label is realistic like in Rand's novel. All of her novels she stressed the importance of individuality, I think that was her only meaning, and not trying base it on a reality or not. I think a future if having to choose, would be that of V. His is more practical in a human sense.
Government
I do not think that out government could ever get as centralized as in V for Vendetta. Our government is ruled by the people and we would never let it get to that point. Other countries are a different story though. Many are ruled strictly by what the government says, dictatorship, so they could have a greater chance than we do. The government over time could influence Americans to the point where they do as the government says, but I highly doubt seeing that happening as well. Americans are just to use to being able to have a say in what goes on in the country and day to day activities.

Love
If I were to have a part in rebuilding a modern society that was destroyed, I would want to help rebuild love. I am a firm believer that "Love makes the world go around". Without love you have nothing. When you have love; kindness, compassion, and gratitude comes into the picture. It makes you care more about something than you ever would have. When people have love in their hearts they are a more understanding and sincere person. you have to have love in order to have compassion and kindness. You don't have to love everything ,but the few things in life that you learn to love you become so grateful to have them in your life.
Being different
Individuality is extremely important. Your given one life and you should live it being you and not someone else. If everyone were the same it would be a very boring everyday. I do think one can have individuality and be a member of society with harmony. There may be some conflict because of the difference in opinions but everyone has one. If I had to choose individuality or conformity I would definitely choose individuality because like I said earlier, you are given one life and what better way to live it than being yourself and not trying to be someone else!

Change
I honestly do not think it will ever end in our life time or our kids. I think it will just get worse. There are so many groups and gangs that continue to grow it is unreal. I will be perfectly honest there are certain people or "clicks" that I didn't like in high school. I didn't like the way they acted or treated people. With that being said that is my point that it will never ever end. There is always going to be certain groups of people that you just wont like. I wish there was a way because it is sad to me that there is always some type of resentment or hate towards people all the time.
Different
I think we persecute certain groups because its the way we are brought up. We are always told this group is good or this group is bad. Most of time the the bad groups are people that are different use. Whether it be color, race, gender, religion and so fourth. It is a complicated thing because until you really get out there and see if for your self you never really know except what people tell you.

Literary Character
This may sound cheesy but my favorite literary character would be Harry Potter. I love love love all of the Harry Potter books. His character in the stories are always the hero and I love that. His character has come such a long way over the years I just love to watch it transform. The movies are great but the books are even better! Most people may not look at him as their favorite but its a story that has continued but stayed in the same lines so you always can follow it. His character is the same way as well.
Favorite Memory
My favorite memory of reading was when I was in elementary school. At the end of each year you would have a reading day. The teachers would let me rearrange the desks and put sheets on them to make it look like we were in a tent. We could bring snacks and we had hershey candy bars for our "sweet snack". All you did all day was read your favorite book. Every year that is what I looked foward too.

Tv shows and Drama
I would not characterize TV shows and movies as literature. Don't get me wrong I think they share some of the same qualities like irony and along the lines of that but I don't think movies and TV shows are literature. Nothing is like READING the story and seeing all of techniques and the famous reading between the line technique you just cant get from any TV show or movie.
Literature
I would definitely say that this weeks work has helped me understand literature alot more! It has shown me how it is alot easier to find certain elements to pinpoint a story. Ive always enjoyed reading and now this makes it alot more appreciative to understand the elements of how the author got all of their stuff together to make the story come to together so well.
